The WIKIS were fun and I found the reading the SBISD Sandbox interesting as I blogged. I've enjoyed the process of figuring out the blogging and am amazed that it's getting easier!
I can see where WIKIS would be useful in the student's researching and the process involved.

Thing #15

Libraries are not the same anymore! The perspectives listed were enlightening in that they reaffirmed what I knew was happening in the libraries---They just aren't for checking out books anymore. The way services are being delivered, the technology involved and how the students must be involved in evaluating their sources through technology and the internet.

After exploring Technorati, I can see that a way to organize and grouping blogs would be very useful. But, I found Technorate confusing - too much, too much information on one page. I see that using Keywords and tagging these would be useful to students, especially during discovery, it was still way, way TMI.

Throughout this process, Ihave found some things that 'hit' me right away, they're easy and I can find where they would be useful. Sharing bookmarks and social networking is something I can use. Having different bookmarks available to me anywhere is just a plus.

I think the best information I got from this was the 10 commandments. Made me stop and think about what really should go on a blog-being polite, using humor, read before I write, etc. Just like on an email, care needs to be taken.

Had a hard time finding different blogs comment on outside the Library2Play because of the 'traffic control'. Don't know what this "says' about my interests!!

I found five books that deals with psychology and found it fairly easy to do. I believe that I could use this for projects or when students are interested in a particular subject in psychology. Many times, I get questions about certain subjects or topics tht I don't feel qualified to comment on. I could find the books on the subject and direct the students to this.

aI enjoyed looking at all of these but especially the Kid-Image generator. I could see ways to use this in psychology to update my power points and make them more fun for the kids.
The different types of generators were definitely fun but as most of these was overwhelming at first, trying to decide what to use.
